14 Police personnel to receive medals for commendable service on I- Day

Fourteen personnel of the Uttarakhand Police will be conferred with the ‘Mukhyamantri Sarahniya Seva Padak’ on Independence Day 2026 in recognition of their exemplary service.

The awardees include eight officers and personnel selected on the basis of their exemplary service. Inspector general of police, Cyber/STF Uttarakhand Nilesh Anand Bharne, additional superintendent of police, Police Telecommunication, Nainital Rewadhar Mathpal,  deputy superintendent of police, Secretariat/Assembly Security Bhaskar Lal Shah, deputy superintendent of police, Chamoli District Trivendra Singh Rana, deputy superintendent of police, Police Headquarters Manish Jaswal, inspector, Civil Police, Police Headquarters Giridhar Singh Rawat, inspector, Civil Police, Police Headquarters Mohammad Yasin and company commander, 40th Battalion PAC Dinesh Chandra will receive the award.

The medal for distinguished services will be awarded to inspector, Intelligence, LIU Dehradun Manoj Manral ( posthumous), sub-inspector, Civil Police, Tehri Garhwal Vinod Kumar ( posthumous), inspector general of police, personnel Sunil Kumar Meena, senior superintendent of police, Haridwar District Navneet Singh, additional superintendent of police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Dehradun Shantanu Parashar and deputy superintendent of police, Intelligence Manoj Aswal. 

Congratulating all the officers and personnel selected for the honour, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the award recognises the dedication, commitment and outstanding service rendered by police personnel. He expressed hope that it would inspire the entire force to discharge their duties with even greater loyalty and dedication.
