Taking a dig at the candidate selection of ruling BJP for the upcoming Assembly by elections in the State, the chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni has said that BJP has fielded turncoats in the elections which shows its desperation.
She said that BJP has fielded Kartar Singh Bhadana from Manglaur who apart from being an outsider is a party hopper. She said that Bhadana has contested elections in the past on Congress, RLD and BSP tickets and he has a habit of changing parties like clothes. Dasauni said that in Badrinath the BJP has given its ticket to Rajendra Singh Bhandari whose stay in the party is less than two months. She said that Bhandari deceived the people of Badrinath who sent him to the Assembly in the election of 2022 and the Congress party of which he was a member by joining BJP just ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
Dasauni said that candidate selection by BJP shows that it has no faith in its own leaders, workers and party cadre.
