Union budget all inclusive, focus on disaster-affected Uttarakhand appreciable: Bhatt

The Bharatiya Janata Party has welcomed the Union budget presented in the parliament on Tuesday. The BJP State president MahendraBhatt said that assurance provided in the budget to Uttarakhand for disaster scenarios is a welcome measure. The Union budget is one that will fulfill the aim of making India self-reliant and developed, he said.
Bhatt thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman along with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the special consideration accorded to disaster-affected Uttarakhand. Bhatt said that the budget will provide strength to every section of society. It will enable rise in the participation of women by ensuring women empowerment. The budget has made provision for a rise in the limit of Mudra loan and provided numerous opportunities for employment. “This is a document for a self-reliant and development Bharat which will help achieve the aim of a developed nation. This budget empowers farmers, businessmen, employees of the government and private sector, and the middle class. We also welcome the special aid announced in the budget to compensate for the damage caused by floods and other disasters in Uttarakhand. Due to the difficult geographical conditions and natural disasters, Uttarakhand has to face considerable damage every year in terms of revenue and the lives and property of the public. The budget address displaying this concern is a result of chief minister Dhami’s consistent efforts. The BJP and people of Uttarakhand especially thank the CM for this,” Bhatt said. The BJP State president further expressed hope that the general budget will further boost the pace of the double-engine government in its efforts aimed at development of the State. This will enable Uttarakhand to reach a decisive stage in its journey towards becoming a model State, Bhatt added.
