BJP forms high level committee to assess damage caused by disaster

The Bharatiya Janata Party has formed a high level committee to assess the damage caused by recent natural disasters and to facilitate assistance in relief works in the affected districts. The committee was formed on directions of the party’s State chief Mahendra Bhatt. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that the committee will inspect the affected areas and prepare a report which will be submitted to the party leadership. The report will also be shared with the government as a suggestion for speeding up the disaster management works and preparations for the future. All members of the committee will soon reach the affected areas and play an active role amidst the public, he said. The party’s State general secretary Rajendra Singh Bisht, Jageshwar MLA Mohan Singh Mehra, State office bearer Meena Gangola and cell in-charge Pushkar Singh Kala have been made responsible for Almora district. State general secretary Aditya Kothari, Rudraparyag district in-charge Rishi Kandwal, Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Singh Chowdhary, Karnprayag MLA Anil Nautiyal and office bearer Meera Raturi have been given the responsibility of Rudraprayag district while State vice president Kuldeep Kumar, Ghansali MLA Shakti Lal Shah, Dhanaulti MLA Pritam Singh Panwar and district Panchayat head Sona Sajwan have been given the responsibility of Tehri district. Similarly, State vice president Neeru Devi, office bearer Aditya Chauhan, Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan, Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal and State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan have been given the responsibility of Uttarkashi district.
