Third national conference of ISA held at HIMS

The third national conference of India Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA) -YouthCon-2024 was organised at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) on Monday. About 500 delegates and researchers from various parts of the country took part in the event, which primarily focused on the latest advancements in anaesthesia techniques. The conference aimed to introduce young doctors and researchers in the field to these new developments. During the event, the president of Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Vijay Dhasmana highlighted the evolution of anaesthesia techniques. He emphasised the importance of such conferences as platforms for sharing experiences to enhance patient care. The vice chancellor of SRHU Rajendra Dobhal stressed the necessity of increasing the number of anaesthetic specialists to ensure prompt and efficient treatment. Apart from this, ISA National Secretary Sukhinder Jeet Singh Bajwa, also encouraged all participants to exchange experiences and knowledge. Secretary Dr Parul Jindal reported that approximately 500 attendees from various regions of the country were present at the conference. The workshops included practical training sessions conducted by experts from the Himalayan Hospital and other parts of the country. Additionally, numerous doctors showcased advanced methods in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks throughout the event.
