Bodh Gaya will be connected to Buddhist circuit: Maharaj

The State’s tourism and culture minister Satpal Maharaj said that efforts would be made to connect Bodh Gaya where Lord Buddha attained divine enlightenment, to the Buddhist circuit and Patna Sahib Gurudwara to Paonta Sahib while inaugurating the
two-day Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) hosted by the Bihar government in Patna on Tuesday.
Dwelling further on the tourism master plan, he said that the tributary of Ganga in Bihar known as
Punpun where Pind Daan is offered would be linked to Brahmakapal located in Badrinath Dham and Baidyanath Dham at Deoghar in Jharkhand, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India, would be linked to Kedarnath Dham. He also spoke of the Vibrant Village scheme and the State government’s initiatives to promote winter tourism.

Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.
