Th BJP’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan stated that the government is carefully examining the Uttarakhand Purv Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL) workers’ issues and is vigilant to ensure that no technical glitches hinder their regularisation. He assured that the government will take decision favorable to the workers.

He said that reservation is a significant factor in the regularisation process and over 20,000 UPNL workers are currently employed in the State without the application of reservation or other standard criteria. Due to this, the government needs to address these parameters including the reservation policy to ensure all necessary criteria are met. He emphasised that the BJP is committed to providing employment to the youth, with over 17,000 appointments already made under the Dhami government and recruitment processes underway for more than 10,000 additional positions. He said that the government has broken previous records in terms of employment in the State and also introduced a strict anti-cheating law for recruitment exams for transparent procedure.

Chauhan also dismissed Congress’s criticism as laughable, claiming that while the BJP is dedicated to the welfare of the youth, Congress only performs stunts. The BJP government did not only increased their salaries and provided additional benefits but is also working towards a permanent solution for their regularisation unlike Congress, he added.
