The drone ambulance service has been launched at the district correctional home in Haridwar with the assistance of AIIMS, Rishikesh. Earlier, the jail admiration had asked AIIMS Rishikesh for hepatices c medicines for ten inmates. Blood samples of the inmates had been sent to AIIMS, Rishikesh on the drone ambulance, said a senior officer of the district correctional home Manoj Kumar Arya, adding that the launch of this service would help the jail administration to have the inmates treated without the compulsion of escorting them to hospitals and then back to jails.
