Arya lauds Almora DM for organising Yogasana event

Sports minister Rekha Arya praised the Almora district magistrate Alok Kumar Pandey for organising the Yogasana event on short notice. She said this while during the inauguration of the event on Friday.
Arya informed that the Yogasana competition will take place from January 31 to February 4, featuring 171 participants from 22 states. The competition will include five categories- traditional Yogasana, artistic Yogasana single, artistic pair, rhythmic pair and artistic group. A total of 66 medals will be awarded across these categories, including 22 gold, 22 silver and 22 bronze medals.
Arya encouraged all players to visit the renowned Jageshwar Dham temple. She suggested that officials arrange for a team to visit the temple each day. She said that hosting a Yogasana competition in Almora is a matter of pride for the culturally rich city. Arya said that since Uttarakhand is the birthplace of Yoga, she holds higher expectations for the State’s team in the competition.
