Maneri police arrested an accused in the case of alleged murderous attack on the caretaker of the Pilot Baba Ashram at Sainj, Manoj Kumar Parihar and its manager, Chetan Giri Maharaj on July 2. As per the complaint registered at Maneri police station, three locals—Rajesh Rawat, Pramod Rawat and Preeti Singh—had thrown stones and pieces of tiles targeting the two senior functionaries of the ashram, resulting in Parihar’s serious head injuries.

Manoj Aswal said that the police team-formed to apprehend the accused trio- had arrested one of them, Rajesh Rawat (40), resident of village Kumalti (Laata), from Sainj. He further said that they were on the lookout for the other two.
