In the course of the investigation into the death of 11-year-old Amit Maurya from Gaulapar, the team from Kathgodam police station said that it might be a case of black magic.
Explaining it, police cited recovery of the severed head and arm of the boy from a cowshed near his house where some snakes and rabbits-some alive, some dead-were found.
Notably, Amit had gone out to buy cold drinks from a nearby shop on Thursday afternoon and since then he had remained missing.
