MDDA demolishes illegal plotting on 10 bighas in Mehuwala

The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) demolished illegal plotting on 10 bigha land in Mehuwala area of Dehradun on Tuesday. Officials said the action was taken after receiving repeated complaints regarding illegal plotting.
During inspection, the authority team found illegal plotting in Mehuwala Mafi near the brick kiln area. Here, Kamal Rathore and others were developing plots in ‘Shri Ram Enclave’ on around 10 bigha land without approval. The demolition was carried out under the directions of MDDA joint secretary Gaurav Chatwal.
MDDA vice chairman Banshidhar Tiwari said that sector-wise teams have been formed to keep watch on illegal plotting in different areas. These teams are regularly checking suspicious activities and taking action. Tiwari said that illegal colonies will not be tolerated at any cost. He appealed to people to invest only in approved projects and inform the authority about any illegal activity. Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia said the authority is following a zero-tolerance policy against illegal plotting and such action will continue in future.
