Speaking on the occasion, Ramdev said that Yoga is the heritage and science passed on to the world by India’s Rishis. “It is a lifestyle for all and a process of self healing. Yoga is a practice system for Yogis, a lifestyle for the general public and a complete treatment system for the sick,” he said. It can help in addressing issues like cough, obesity, thyroid imbalance, blood pressure issues, diabetes, liver disease, kidney ailments and other health problems, he said.

Addressing the gathering, Naidu said that his mission is to make Yoga reach every household in the State so that it can be built into a public movement. The CM said that he had been encouraging technology for the past three decades while Ramdev has been publicising Yoga for the past three decades, adding that technology and spiritualism should go hand in hand. He also spoke about making Andhra Pradesh a spiritual and wellness hub along with developing it into a technology hub. A book ‘Yogarshiyognighantu’ authored by Balkrishna was also released on the occasion.

Students of Patanjali Gurukulam, Acharyakulam and the University of Patanjali also exhibited various advanced Yogic exercises on the occasion.
