The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has announced a State level mascot design and slogan competition-2026 to create its official mascot and slogan through public participation. The competition will be held from August 3 to 16.
MDDA vice-chairman Banshidhar Tiwari said the mascot will represent the authority’s development work, public awareness campaigns and citizen participation. Participants have to submit an original mascot design along with a creative slogan for the authority.
The first prize in the mascot competition is Rs 50,000, while the second and third prizes are Rs 30,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively. The best slogan or tagline will receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Participants must submit their entries online in JPEG, PNG or PDF format. They also need to provide a short note explaining the idea behind the mascot and slogan. MDDA said entries will be judged on creativity, originality and their usefulness across different platforms. The authority has made it clear that AI-generated designs will not be accepted.
MDDA secretary Mohan Singh Barniya also urged educational institutions, media organisations and social groups to promote the competition so that more people can participate. Registration and detailed guidelines are available through the QR code released by the authority.
