Lay special focus on improving health facilities in remote areas: CM

Special focus should be laid on improving the health facilities up to the remote areas. Chairing a review meeting of the medical health and medical education departments via video conferencing here on Thursday, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat said that requirement for the vacant posts in health department should be sent soon. The process should be expedited where recruitment is already underway.
The CM directed that the service manual for all cadres in health and medical education departments should be prepared within 75 days and the process of recruitment to vacant posts should be started soon. ANMs should be arranged till the Nyay Panchayat level and they should be provided a kit of necessary medicines. He further said that doctors should be appointed in remote areas to provide better health services in such areas. Rawat said that special focus should be laid on strengthening of district hospitals. Telemedicine system should be arranged in primary and community health centres within the next 100 days, he said. The CM also stressed that the pace of the Covid vaccination programme should be stepped up.
