Congress doubted surgical strike, Covid vaccine but we never questioned RaGa’s parentage- Sarma

Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused the Congress of negative politics stating that the Congress had sought proof of surgical strikes and efficacy of Covid vaccine, adding that the BJP had never sought proof of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s parentage.

Sarma said, “The Congress sought proof of surgical strikes and questioned the reliability of the Covid vaccine. Did we ever ask for proof of Rahul Gandhi being Rajiv Gandhi’s son?”

Addressing the media here on Friday, Sarma claimed that while campaigning in Uttarakhand, he had witnessed a Modi-Dhami wave. He said, “The spirit of Jinnah has entered Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders are talking like Jinnah who was responsible for the nation’s partition. In Assam we are still cleaning the stains of minority appeasement by past Congress governments. In Uttarakhand, the Congress leaders who had declared leave for namaz are promising establishment of Muslim university behind closed doors. The BJP will never let this intention of the Congress be fulfilled in Devbhumi.” Speaking about the Hijab row in Karnataka, the Assam CM said that the girl students are being distanced from education and being misguided regarding Hijab. If the Congress has its way, this can happen in Uttarakhand too.

Regarding Uttarakhand he said, “The BJP has also given place to internal security in its poll manifesto. Anti-national forces are conspiring to alter demographics especially in states along borders. The people of Uttarakhand need to be alert. I am saying this because Assam has suffered because of this.”
