The enforcement teams have seized unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 4.36 crore and over 96,973 litres of liquor worth over Rs 4.75 crore since the model code of conduct (MCC) came into effect in the state from January 8. As per the data provided by the authorities concerned, the teams have seized cash of Rs 1.89 crore this month alone. The State Surveillance Teams (SSTs), Flying Squad Teams (FSTs) and police have also confiscated over 61188.648 litres of alcohol worth over Rs 3.36 crore since the implementation of MCC. Besides this, the excise department has also seized 35785.089 litres of alcohol worth over Rs 1.38 crore in the state.
