A special tree plantation programme was held in the premises of 34th Battalion, ITBP on Thursday. Organised under the guidance of the Commandant Anil Singh Bisht, a total of 320 saplings of fruit bearing trees, including guava, mango and amla, were planted with the joint initiative of the force’s personnel and State Bank of India, Lalkuan.
The event would not only cover the campus with greenery but give the message of clean and healthy environment for the coming generations, Bisht said, adding that this joint effort of ITBP and State Bank would help strengthen the local environment.
