Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed all district magistrates to ensure that adequate arrangements are made in Rain Baseras and that blankets are provided to those in need to protect them from the cold. He issued this directive during his visit to Nainital on Thursday.
In light of the increasing cold, the CM emphasised the need to strengthen necessary facilities in Rain Baseras across the State and to light bonfires to combat the cold. Dhami instructed officials to activate teams in every district to effectively monitor cities, towns and major public areas, ensuring that vulnerable and homeless individuals receive timely assistance.
He expressed the government’s commitment to this objective and instructed the regular lighting of bonfires in urban areas and towns during cold evenings, with consistent monitoring. Additionally, CM asked that the administration provide daily reports on the availability, distribution and oversight of essential supplies.
