Dhami hails passage of anti-copying bill in Lok Sabha

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the passage of the Public Examinations (prevention of unfair means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday is a historic step towards safeguarding the future of crores of hardworking and talented youth of the country. He said that the new law will help in ensuring transparency, fairness and credibility in the examination system of the country.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the CM said that the legislation will further strengthen strict and effective action against examination mafias, paper leak gangs and organized cheating.

He said that the Union government under the leadership of PM Modi, has pledged to maintain the sanctity of public examinations while prioritizing the interests of youth. “The passage of this amendment bill in the Lok Sabha is a testament to that resolve. This will further strengthen the credibility of recruitment and competitive examinations across the country,’’ he said. 

Dhami expressed confidence that the implementation of this amended law will further strengthen the examination system across the country and give a boost to the confidence of qualified and hardworking candidates.
