As part of the special cleanliness fortnight being run by the Nainital Municipal Council, a special cleanliness drive was carried out in ward number two (Sher ka Danda) of the town on Tuesday led by the chairperson of the municipality, Saraswati Khetwal, executive officer Rohitash Sharma and sub-divisional magistrate, Nainital, Nawazish Khaliq. The teams from Revenue department and PWD played an active role in the drive.
Under the campaign, the participants cleaned drains, cut bushes grown on roadsides and removed garbage dumped on roads.
