The Venkateshwara Group of Institutions celebrated its 28th foundation day on Monday through a string of commemorative programmes, including blood donation and tree plantation drive. A total of 42 students and staff donated blood voluntarily.
Addressing the programme, the founder chairman of the Venkateshwara Group of Institutions,
Sudhir Giri said that a sapling, planted less than three decades ago, had now become a big tree. “It is now a throbbing centre of higher technical and medical education, meeting the expectations of the people, students and parents, not just in Uttar Pradesh but across north India. We are determined to provide all our students a secure and prosperous career through innovation, research and value-based education,” he added.
Expressing gratitude to the parents who had first sent their children to the fledgling institutions, Giri said that they would ensure the optimal use of resources and technology to provide the students with an effective platform, enabling them to represent Venkateshwara as well as the country with distinction at the national and international levels.
On this occasion, the pro-chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi expressed the hope that Venkateshwara would emerge as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in education soon on the strength of the values, research and innovation it provided.
