The State administration has given orders of promotions of four senior officers of the Education department. In an order the secretary, School Education, Ravinath Raman promoted four officers Gajendra Singh Sonn, Kuldeep Gairola, Shiv Prasad Semwal and Anand Bhardwaj to the post of additional director.
The secretary gave the promotion order after receiving approval from the Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat.
The department has also assigned responsibilities to the newly promoted officers. Sonn has been assigned the post of Primary Education AD, Kumaon while Gairola will be the new AD, Primary Education at the directorate with additional charge of additional project director Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. As per the order, Semwal has been assigned the charge of AD, Secondary Education (Kumaon) while Bharadwaj will be the AD, Education directorate, Dehradun.
Pertinently these officers were awaiting promotion for a quite long time. The department has directed the newly promoted officers to take charge of their responsibilities without any delay.
In a statement, the Education minister Rawat said that the promotion of these officers is not only a recognition of their experience and efficiency but will help in expediting the departmental works and ensure transparency.
