U’khand govt & PNB conclude MoU addendum for salary accounts

Punjab National Bank (PNB) and the Uttarakhand Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) addendum on Saturday, further enhancing their MoU for 2025 for operating the salary accounts of regular employees of the state government.
Under this MoU, PNB will provide the same premium salary package facilities to the permanent employees of the state government as are currently provided to the Central Government employees. With this agreement, PNB has become the first bank to enter into such a MoU with the Uttarakhand government, the bank officials said.
The MoU was exchanged between the director, Treasury, Pensions & Entitlements, Amita Joshi and the zonal head, PNB, Uttarakhand, Anupam.
Under the scheme, as per eligibility, many facilities like personal accident insurance up to Rs 1.50 crore, air accident insurance up to Rs 3 crore, term life insurance up to Rs 12 lakh, free annual health check-up, unlimited tele-consultation, overdraft facility, concession in locker rent, premium debit and credit cards and home, vehicle, education and personal loans at attractive interest rates will be made available. Besides, IMPS, RTGS, NEFT and demat account opening facilities will be provided free of cost.
