National Students Union of India (NSUI) national in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar to openly raise their voice against injustice while following the path shown by BR Ambedkar. He was speaking at the ‘Jai Bhim, Jai Hind’ event organised by the Congress ahead of Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary here on Sunday.

Kumar said that while the constitution provided by Ambedkar is the nation’s soul, those in power are hitting at the fundamental spirit of the constitution. He alleged that divisions, inequality and injustice are being encouraged in the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal targeted the Central and State governments, stating that the general public is suffering from price rise, unemployment and corruption while the governments are playing the politics of distraction. The Congress will continue to work for protecting the constitution and democracy, he said.

Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha, Yashpal Arya alleged that an attempt is being made to weaken the principles of social justice and equality in the nation. He opined that the nation can be taken forward in the right direction only by imbibing Ambedkar’s thoughts.

The party’s election campaign committee chief Pritam Singh alleged that a conspiracy is underway to limit the rights granted to all citizens by the constitution. The Congress will not allow this plan to succeed, he said. Election management committee head Harak Singh Rawat said that the Congress is moving forward towards ensuring justice to the last person on the social ladder, which is the real tribute to Ambedkar.
