The Uttarakhand Labour department was recently honoured at a ceremony organised by the SKOCH Group. According to the officials, the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBOCW) received the Gold Award for its innovative Labour Cess Collection Management System (LCCMS). Labour commissioner PC Dumka accepted the award on behalf of the UKBOCW.

Officials said that the LCCMS portal, developed by the board, represents a modern approach to ensuring transparency, accountability and efficiency in labour welfare schemes. This digital platform has successfully replaced the traditional manual system with a fully online and transparent methodology. In recognition of the project’s success, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has instructed other States to adopt this model, which is a point of pride for Uttarakhand, according to officials.

Dumka said that this achievement is a testament to the visionary leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The LCCMS now functions within a completely online, transparent and accountable framework, he added.

This initiative was launched following Dhami’s directions to the Labour department for developing an effective digital system to promote good governance, accountability and achieve the goals of Digital India.
