DGP inspects relief ops in Harsil-Dharali, reviews, instructs

With relief and rescue operations- involving police, State Disaster Response Force, National Disaster Response Force, Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Revenue department- going on on a war footing after the flash flood disaster had struck Harshil-Dharali in Uttarkashi district on August 5, the director general of police, Uttarakhand, Deepam Seth conducted a field inspection of the affected areas on Friday

While chairing a review meeting with police officials at Matli, the top cop of the State took detailed information and instructed the officials concerned to extend all kinds of help to the calamity-hit persons. He stressed on restoration of the communication routes at the earliest while urging all to come forward so that the relief materials and medical services reach the affected areas sans hindrance.  

Among those present were the additional DGP (Administration and Intelligence), A P Anshuman; Garhwal commissioner, Vinay Shankar Pandey; inspector general of police, Garhwal Range, Rajiv Swaroop.
