UPES hosted the National Workshop of Utsahi Physics Teachers – 2026 (NWUPT-2026), a six-day residential programme conducted under the mentorship of Padma Shri Prof H C Verma. The workshop brought together 40 Physics teachers from across India, representing states including Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Punjab, UPES sources said.
The participants comprised Physics teachers from both government and private schools and colleges, creating a vibrant platform for sharing teaching experiences and innovative pedagogical practices. The workshop was designed to strengthen Physics education through hands-on learning, conceptual understanding and effective classroom teaching methodologies.
Throughout the programme, Verma and a team of expert resource persons conducted immersive sessions focused on enhancing practical and experiential learning.
The vice- chancellor, UPES, Sunil Rai said that they were honoured to host Prof Verma and educators from across the country as part of this initiative to strengthen Physics education and promote a culture of curiosity-driven learning.
