Pandit Pant remembered on birth anniversary at GBPUAT

To mark the 138th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, the State minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ganesh Joshi paid floral tribute to the legendary freedom fighter and leader at a commemorative programme held in Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. Describing Pandit Pant as a visionary leader who had left his deep marks on several fields like education, agriculture, and rural development, he said that he exemplified the commitment to national interests.
After paying floral tributes to Pandit Pant, GBPUAT vice chancellor, Manmohan Singh Chauhan said that this university reflects his nation- building vision. He appealed to the university fraternity to tread the path shown by Pandit Pant and take it to greater heights.
Thereafter, messages of the President of India, Prime Minister, Governor and chief minister were read out by the deans of various colleges of the university.
