Panwar commends UKSSSC decision to cancel leaked examination

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) chairman has cancelled the recently held graduate-level examination, a decision was welcomed by the patron of the Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangh (UBS) and the president of the Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha (USM) Bobby Panwar. Panwar expressed satisfaction with the move stating that it sets a positive example for addressing those involved in paper leaks.
It is important to note that the UKSSSC paper leak incident occured recently raising concerns among many residents, including members of the UBS and other organisations. In light of this, UBS members conducted protests for several days, demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the paper leak and the cancellation of the examination.
On Saturday, after the inquiry commission submitted its report to chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, an order to cancel the examination was issued shortly by the authorities concerned. In the order cancelling the recruitment exam, the secretary of UKSSSC, Shiv Kumar Barnwal stated that the exam would be rescheduled within three months. In response, Panwar welcomed the decision and expressed his happiness over it. He said that from day one, young adults under the UBS banner had been fighting for this cause and now, with the cancellation of the exam, the decision has come in their favour.
Panwar also expressed his expectation that a CBI inquiry will be conducted soon, allowing the public to learn the names of those involved in the scandal. He stated that this decision not only reflects fairness but also assures future transparency in examinations. He hopes it serves as a warning to those who engage in such paper leak activities, urging them to think twice before committing such acts again.
