The Bharatiya Janata Party State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said that the various cells and fronts of the party will play a vital role in ensuring the party’s victory in the 2027 Assembly elections. Bhatt said this while chairing a meeting of all the party’s cells here on Monday. While deciding the outline of organisational programmes to be held, he stressed on increasing activity in view of the coming Vidhan Sabha elections.
Addressing the party workers in the meeting, Bhatt claimed that as seen across India, the people in Uttarakhand also have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance coupled with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership. The people have been consistently putting their stamp of approval on the works of the double-engine government in the State. He expressed confidence that the people will once again vote for the BJP in the 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections. “However, this is no reason for us to sit back contentedly. We have to maximise the support of the people and involve them in the making of a developed Uttarakhand,” the BJP State president said.
He also directed the office bearers of all the cells to successfully take forward the programmes planned by the party from the Mandal to the booth level. Claiming that the people are feeling the change resulting from development schemes in the State, Bhatt stressed on the need for raising awareness on public welfare schemes and achievements of the government in society. Regarding the revision of the voter list, he said that the role of the party workers is important in this work as an error-free voter list is necessary for the success of democracy. He told the office bearers to prioritise this work to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the voter list while the names of ineligible voters, especially infiltrators, are removed from the list.
BJP State general secretaries Kundan Parihar, Deepti Rawat and office bearers of the party’s Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, SC Morcha, OBC Morcha and various other cells were present in the meeting.
