A two-day workshop starts in KU’s Bhimtal campus under MERU yojana

A two-day workshop focusing on holistic health and wellness was inaugurated under PM-USHA’s MERU yojana for the students studying at Bhimtal campus of Kumaun University. Speaking at the workshop, the executive director of Manipur-based Ethno- Medicinal Research Centre, Dr A K S Rawat highlighted the importance of mental health in the educational field and society at large. Notably, he delivered lectures as a subject expert in the technical sessions of the workshop held on the first day. He spoke comprehensively on the modern use of traditional medicines in stress management and the importance of nutrition in general health and daily routine.
The coordinator of the workshop, Prof Lata Pandey said that a series of workshops is being organised for the students of the university with the grant approved to Kumaun University under the MERU scheme of the Government of India.
