In latest Uttarakhand news, with relentless rain still pounding Chamoli district of rain-battered Uttarakhand, a stretch of the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway was blocked near Kanchan Ganga after boulders came rolling down the hills. Besides, some parts of the road were washed away due to the torrential rain. This resulted in the blockade of this important highway when the pilgrimage to the Badrinath shrine is going on. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) team has got engaged in removing the rubbles from the road so as to ensure that traffic movement resumed at the earliest.
