Devotees in large numbers from across the country are now reaching Shri Malook Peeth Ashram at village Sainj, Patti Taknaur, situated on the banks of Ganga to take part in the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha being organised from May 9 to 15. Aside from the Katha, the issue of developing the Sainj region as the “fifth Dham” in the future was prominently raised. Furthermore, the speakers stated that concrete efforts would be made to preserve Uttarakhand’s traditional Badri cow breed. They also called for the construction of a veterinary hospital, a ghat, and the expansion of religious and social facilities in the region.

The head of Shri Malook Peeth Ashram, Rajendra Das said during the Katha that Uttarkashi is not just a town but a land of spiritual consciousness and penance. “Uttarkashi has been the place of penance for sages, saints and seekers for centuries and the spiritual energy here inspires the entire humanity towards religion and morality,” he said, adding that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha spreads the message of love, service and values in the society.
