The Seva Singh Matharu memorial Table Tennis tournament was inaugurated by the vice chairman of the Uttarakhand Media Advisory Committee Dhirendra Panwar at the Uttaranchal Press Club on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Panwar said that sports not only promote physical and mental development, but also foster discipline, dedication and a spirit of healthy competition. He praised the Uttaranchal Press Club for organising sports activities, calling it a positive initiative for mutual harmony and health among journalists.
Press Club President Ajay Rana welcomed all the guests and participants, stating that the club has periodically provided a valuable platform for journalists through sports and cultural events. He added that this competition, held in memory of Sewa Singh Matharu, is an important part of the club’s tradition.
