The eighth Corbett-Pant-Pearce annual national conclave 2025 concluded at Birla Vidya Mandir on Sunday. The Sunbeam School from Lahartara, Varanasi won the first prize with Sherwood College coming second and Indian School, Delhi coming in third.
Teams from 18 schools participated in this three-day programme which included drama, poetry recitation, debate and art competition. Former student of the host school and writer Ashok Pande was the chief guest on the conclusion of the event. He said that a healthy society can be developed on the strength of excellent education. Stimulating competitions must be held in schools for this purpose, he said.
Pande further said that literature is not merely playing with words but a powerful means to give direction to society, adding that Birla Vidya Mandir is contributing in this direction. The school principal Anil Sharma also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
