The Union government has approved the proposal to set up a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sawad village of Chamoli district. The village is famous for being home of thousands of serving and retired armed forces personnel.
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as well as the Union cabinet for approving the KV in Sawad village. The CM said that on the demand of local people, he was consistently making efforts for establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Savad.
He said that establishing a KV in the border region of Chamoli district would provide better quality education to the students of this area and also give the region a new identity.
Dhami said that the state government is continuously striving to create a conducive educational environment in the state, for this, teachers are being linked with innovation along with training so that the students can get good education along with a proper environment for education.
