BJP claims over 1.5 lakh people participate in PM’s Dehradun event

The Bharatiya Janata Party said that over 1.5 lakh people attended the silver jubilee celebration of the State’s foundation at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun on Sunday addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party called it the largest public gathering for a PM’s event in Uttarakhand so far. The BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said that the programme exceeded the original target of one lakh attendees. He said that the event focussed on reviewing the State’s progress over the last 25 years and outlining the vision for the next 25 years in the presence of Modi. Bhatt said that the PM’s address encouraged people to contribute to Uttarakhand’s development. He added that Modi praised ongoing development efforts and highlighted the decisions taken under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. According to him, Modi’s remarks on Uttarakhand’s development phase and his appeal to work towards building a developed India offered direction for future planning. He said that the month-long silver jubilee celebrations across Uttarakhand received a boost with Modi’s participation. He expressed confidence that development projects in the State will move at a faster pace under the leadership of Modi and Dhami. Bhatt said that PM has maintained a close relationship with Uttarakhand and has consistently supported the State’s needs.
