The GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) will organise the 118th All India Kisan Mela and Agricultural Exhibition here from October 10 to 13.
This decision was taken unanimously in the meeting of the Kisan Mela advisory committee chaired by the university’s vice chancellor Manmohan Singh Chauhan on Monday. The theme for this year’s Kisan Mela will be ‘prosperous farmers through smart agriculture and digital revolution’.
Various aspects related to the event were discussed in the meeting and the formation of different committees was finalised in addition to lectures to be delivered by scientists, tours for farmers, felicitation of progressive farmers, the proposed budget for the fair and other issues.
The vice chancellor directed officials to invite progressive farmers to the Kisan Mela so that the other farmers can also benefit from their experience.
