Secretary directs nameplates of offices be inscribed in Sanskrit

The secretary of the Sanskrit Education, Census and Programme Implementation Department, Deepak Kumar conducted a detailed review of the government’s priorities and the progress of various development schemes, while chairing a meeting with the district officials on Friday.  

He directed that the nameplates of all department offices be inscribed in Sanskrit, as per government instructions. He also advised officials to spend the night in their respective areas, saying this would enable them to better understand the actual conditions and public problems in the area and effectively resolve them.

During the review of the agriculture sector, the secretary inquired about agricultural equipment, seed distribution and the training being provided to farmers. He directed the development of an integrated agriculture model in coordination with the Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Water Resources, and Fisheries departments, asking them to prepare the model in three development blocks by July and submit an action plan for implementing it in all development blocks by September. He also directed the forest panchayats to participate in works such as fencing.

While reviewing the Chief Minister’s announcements and the Chief Minister’s Helpline, he directed them to regularly monitor the pending cases and ensure their quick and effective disposal.

In the review of the National Rural Livelihood Mission, he stressed on identifying the top 10 self-help groups of the district. During the review of the tourism sector, he gave instructions to complete the Satpuli Lake project soon and develop Syunsi Lake on the same lines.

The meeting also reviewed progress on infant mortality, maternal mortality and the TB-free campaign under the National Health Mission.

While reviewing cybercrime, the secretary directed a comprehensive public awareness campaign regarding cyber fraud and cyber security.
