The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense showers likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of the State today. Further, light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the districts of the State on Tuesday. According to the meteorological centre, the rainfall activity in the State is likely to decrease after October 12 with very light to light rain/thundershowers forecast at isolated places in the mountains and dry weather in the plains.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light to moderate rain/thundershowers likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 30 degrees Celsius and 20.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 23.1 degrees Celsius and 19.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 12 degrees Celsius and 9.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 20.8 degrees Celsius and 12.7 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
