CM holds review meeting with several department officers, announces new initiatives

In Dehradun news, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a slew of initiatives while chairing a review meeting at the State Secretariat with the officials of the sugarcane development department, animal husbandry department, dairy development department and fishery department among others. He also directed the officials to complete the ongoing projects on time. He said that to boost dairy produce, 600 multi-purpose milk cooperative societies would be constituted. Besides, 20 fodder-centric FPOs would be formed, CM said, adding that 50 milk-producing service centres would come up under the clusters of the milk cooperative societies. This aside, 16 badri cow growth centres would be formed. He advised the officers working in the State dairy department to follow the development trajectory of other states.   He asked the animal husbandry department to encourage the people for merino sheep breeding and added that MoU would be inked soon with the Australian breeders on this matter. Speaking of the sugarcane industries, CM stressed on bringing them on the profit mode.
