The natives of old Tehri residing in provisional State capital Dehradun have decided to revive the historical Ramlila of the old Tehri and organise it in Dehradun.
Taking up the initiative, the Shri Ramakrishna Leela Samiti Tehri has decided to revive the historical Ramlila of old Tehri in Dehradun. A coordinating committee has also been formed for the purpose.
The Ramlila will be organised in Tehri Nagar located in Ajabpur, Dehradun from October 15 during the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri. The committee president Abhinav Thapar said that Tehri’s Ramlila has a great history in itself and this Ramlila was performed in Tehri from 1952 till the submergence of old Tehri. The Ramlila will not only provide an opportunity to bring history alive but also provides an opportunity for generations to come to connect with their history and traditions of Sanatan Dharma, he said.
