Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), an institute under Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is organising a one-day outreach activity for school students at its campus in Kalidas Road in Dehradun on December 29 as part of the upcoming the 9th India International Science Festival (IISF-2023).
The objective of this event is to showcase the achievements and research facilities to the school students and give them insights into different fields of space science and technology. The event will be divided into two sessions-from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 14.30 pm to 15.30 pm.
An IIRS release stated that major highlights of the event are visit to the space museum, screening of ISRO educational content and interaction with ISRO scientists. The students should come with their school ID cards, the release said. The programme is free and there would be no prior registration.
