UP Govt allots land for U’khand’s Ayodhya guest house

In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the much-awaited consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya drawing near, decks have been cleared for a guest house- meant to accommodate the pilgrims from Uttarakhand visiting Lord Ram’s birthplace- to come up. Yogi Adityanath- led Uttar Pradesh government has allotted the land previously identified by the Uttarakhand government for building the guest house in Ayodhya. The State government sources said that the 4700 sq m land owned by the Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board would be bought at Rs 24 crore where the guest house would come up and the Uttarakhand government had already cleared Rs 24 crore for the purpose. The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his gratitude to his UP counterpart for allotting the land for the guest house.
