Dak Adalat to hear postal grievances on Feb 9

In latest news from Doon, in order to redress the grievances of the customers in an effective manner, the Uttarakhand Postal Circle (UPC) is set to organise Dak Adalat at the UPC office and seven circle post offices on February 9. As per a press release sent by the office of the chief postmaster general, UPC, the Dak Adalat would commence at 4 pm. The release further says that all grievances, particularly those pertaining to registry, parcel, money order, value payable post and saving bank account would be heard at the Dak Adalat. The aggrieved customers must clearly write Grievances for Dak Adalat at the top of the grievance applications. Besides, there would be no hearing on such grievances which have already been closed by courts, pending before consumer disputes redressal forums, settled by the postal directorate and earlier presented before Dak Adalat. Seven mandals where Dak Adalat would be held are Dehradun, Almora, Nainital, Chamoli, Pauri, Pithoragarh and Tehri.
