A few days after the President Draupadi Murmu expressed concern over the unfair practices like leakage of question papers and answer keys in the job recruitment examinations while addressing the joint sessions of the Parliament on the inaugural day of the budget session, the Union minister of state for personnel Jitendra Singh tabled a bill in the Lok Sabha aimed at setting up a leak-proof examination system . Sources privy to the details said that the bill had tough provision of imprisonment up to ten years and penalties to the tune of crores and added that instead of targeting the candidates, the focus would be on the organised mafia groups and those directly or indirectly associated with them. Further, there would be a provision of the formation of a high- level technical committee that would be asked to suggest how to make the examinations fair through use of computer technologies.
