Anukriti Gusain & other Congress leaders join BJP

The daughter in-law of former cabinet minister and Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat and the former Congress candidate from the Lansdowne Assembly constituency, Anukriti Gusain joined the BJP here on Sunday. Various other public representatives also joined the party on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the trend of people from various parties joining the BJP will continue till the local body and Panchayat elections.
Along with Gusain, district Panchayat head Renu Gangwar, former Panchayat head and Congress leader Suresh Gangwar along with their supporters also joined the BJP on Sunday.
Bhatt said that the party had received information some days ago from various people about their intention to join the BJP. The party’s State joining committee held deliberations on this and following the recommendation of the Uttarakhand in-charge of joining and Union minister Anurag Thakur, all of them are being inducted into the party. He expressed hope that all those who have joined the BJP will work for a developed Uttarakhand and developed India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, Gusain said that all share the dream of a developed Uttarakhand, for which CM Dhami is working under PM Modi’s leadership. “We have to make this decade Uttarakhand’s pursuing the policy of ‘vocal for local’. We have to work under the leadership of PM Modi, CM Dhami and BJP State chief Mahendra Bhatt for this,” she said.
Suresh Gangwar said that he had started his political life from the ABVP so joining the BJP is like a homecoming for him. He said that he had joined the BJP considering PM Modi’s policies and BJP national president JP Nadda’s work.
