In latest news from Dehradun, a day after the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) released the results of the high school and intermediate examinations, the State education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami would felicitate 25 students who topped the merit lists in each of these two examinations at a function to be held at the CM residence soon.
Rawat looked satisfied with the announcement of the results within the timeline stipulated by him and said that the education department had taken the decision of felicitating the top 25 students in each board exam every year.
In good news for those who flunked in one subject, the director of the secondary education Mahaveer Singh Bisht said that special examinations would be held soon to help the flunked students pass. Besides, those who are not satisfied with the marks they have obtained may move for review of the answer sheets, he added.
