Committed to safe, orderly & convenient Char Dham Yatra: CM

 Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid obeisance at Badrinath shrine on Saturday. He also inspected the facilities and arrangements made for the pilgrims.

Dhami directed the officers associated with Yatra management to ensure that all the arrangements are in order while keeping in mind the convenience, safety and accessibility of the pilgrims. The CM said that the Yatra should continue in a proper and systematic manner so that the pilgrims are able to get Darshan easily.

 In his visit the CM also interacted with pilgrims arriving from different parts of the country and took feedback. The CM inquired about token counter, queue management, control room and medical facilities from the pilgrims and directed the officers to work in mutual coordination.

The CM said that the State government is actively engaged to ensure a safe, orderly and convenient Char Dham Yatra. The Yatra is being operated as per the capacity of the Dhams and now the Yatra is in complete order.
The local stakeholders also met the CM and proposed that more pilgrims should be allowed to visit the Badrinath shrine. The CM assured them that the proposal will be evaluated and the number of pilgrims will be increased as per the carrying capacity of the shrine. He said that there are a sufficient number of hotels in Badrinath. The safety and convenience of the pilgrims is the first priority of the government, he added.

The deputy chairman of the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Kishore Panwar welcomed the CM in the temple.

 The Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar, SDM CM Vasishtha and other officers were present on the occasion.
